PDF to XPS , Black images

Support,
We have been using PDFTron with no issues till now to convert the PDF
to XPS.
Here is my scenario:-

We have some PDFs which are converted from scanned images to
Searchable PDFs using AbbyFineReader.
The AbbyFineReader saves them with "Text under the image" save mode
and makes it a searchable PDF.

I take this PDF and then convert the PDF to XPS document. I manipulate
the XPS, merge them some other xps etc using .net api and then saves
it back to PDF using PDFTron api.

This converted to PDF then is given to Flipviewer software to create a
eBook out of the PDF.
Here all of the pages of my XPS to PDF conversion file are displayed
as BLACK images. Please see attached. Also, when I open the XPS
package I see those black images present under the Required resources
folder.

Another point is, when I contacted the Flipviewer team they said that
the fonts are getting converted to the Generic1-Embedded open type and
that’s the problem
Please see image attached.

When I use Acrobat distiller to distill the final PDF, then flipviewer
works fine.

Can you please help?

Another they said that the fonts are getting converted to the Generic1-Embedded open

type and that’s the problem

I suppose this is a bug (missing feaure) in their software.Btw. is there a specific reason why you are going from PDF → XPS → PDF? With PDFNet you should be able to manipulate PDF directly with no information loss. Some PDF feaures don’t have XPS equivalent and likewise some XPS features do not have PDF equivalent.
