Using PDFNet SDK on FreeBSD

Q: I'm a developer who needs to do some manipulation of PDF forms, and
the PDFNet library looks to be exactly what we need. I just have a
few questions before we can make a decision to purchase it.

First, is there a FreeBSD version? We are a mostly BSD shop, and
having a native version would make our lives much easier. My
experience when building and running the samples under FreeBSD's
Linux
compatibility mode has been less than fruitful. Is it possible to
compile a libPDFNetC app this way?
Thank you for any light you can shed.

A: Although we are not directly supporting a FreeBSD version of PDFNet
you should be able to use PDFNet SDK in FreeBSD.

What are the errors you run into? Could it be that samples are using
some Linux shell features that are not available in FreeBSD?

Q: Actually, the FreeBSD/Linux compatibility issues seem to have been
only when trying to compile. When I built an app on an actual Linux
box, it ran just fine on BSD. So, no problems there.

If we were to run under Linux compatibility on FreeBSD, does that
count as the Linux platform for licensing purposes?

A: Sounds good.

FreeBSD, does that count as the Linux platform for licensing purposes?

Yes, it would count as Linux version/license.
