Hello,

I am pretty sure this is specific to iOS. This was reproducible on an iPhone with Safari and Chrome but only on the first free text annotation. It seems that on creation, you may have to focus on the text box before you can start editing. Whereas on Android, the text is immediately highlighted and the text area is focused.

After an investigation, it seems that it may have something to do with the underlying library we are using. We might have to try out some solutions to see whether this is addressable. As such, I will add this to our backlog to look into.
