Is PDFTron capable of sending files to an application ?
At present we have a PDF printer that allows us to convert files to PDF, that are then sent to our document manager for filing.
Is there anything within PDFNet SDK that would allow the same functionality?

Yes, PDFNet with Convert Add-on (http://www.pdftron.com/pdfnet/features.html#Convert) will allow you to programmatically ‘print’ (i.e. convert) files to PDF, XPS, and other formats.
For a concrete example, please see Convert sample (http://www.pdftron.com/pdfnet/samplecode.html#Convert) which is part of standard SDK distro.
